Thank you so much to our volunteer group from Grace Christian School for spending their Pass It On Service Day helping us get things looking festive for our Christmas Wonderland at Creative Works Farm 2026! They helped get Santa’s workshop ready for his visit, lined the path to Mrs Claus’s gingerbread house with giant lollipops, and more. We appreciate all of your hard work!

WANTED: A Few Very Special Christmas Characters! WANTED: A Few Very Special Christmas Characters! Christmas Wonderland at Creative Works Farm is looking for a few merry (and slightly mischievous) folks to help bring the magic to life! SANTA CLAUS — NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS! We’re looking for a jolly, kind-hearted, authentic Santa to help us kick off Christmas Wonderland over Thanksgiving weekend—with opportunities to fill in on other dates, too! Must possess: A genuinely jolly spirit An authentic white beard A kind and welcoming voice A natural way with children The ability to make kids feel like they’ve just stepped into a Christmas story A good sense of humor And, of course, a little Christmas magic Don’t have a Santa suit? No problem—we have one! Background checks will be completed because keeping our little visitors safe is part of the magic. ❤️ Every Grinch needs a backup plan. We’re looking for someone willing to shadow our Grinch, study his grinchy ways, and learn the trade in case he comes down with a case of the ker-sniffles, accidentally injures a wamboozle, or otherwise finds himself unable to fulfill his Grinchly duties. Ideal candidates should have: A soul full of gunk A smile with just the right amount of termites A natural talent for grumbling A questionable relationship with Christmas cheer The ability to look suspiciously annoyed while surrounded by happy children …and, most importantly, a willingness to embrace your inner Grinch. No previous Grinch experience required. Training provided by a certified professional Grinch. 😉 If you’ve ever thought, “I could totally be Santa…” or “I was born to be a Grinch,” this may be your moment. Interested? Send us a message or reach out to Creative Works Farm for more info! We are also looking for other volunteers to help make Christmas Wonderland at Creative Works Farm 2026 magical! Volunteers are needed to help with different stations like cookies and hot chocolate, wagon loading, selling pizza and drinks, Santa’s Elf helpers, interactive characters, and much more. Visit creativeworksfarm.org for more details.

Fall leaves? Check. Pumpkin spice? Check. CHRISTMA Fall leaves? Check. Pumpkin spice? Check. CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS?! …Wait, what?! 😂 Yes, we know it’s still September, but apparently our giant gingerbread house and Christmas trees didn’t get the memo! A HUGE thank you to the awesome crew from Sun Retreats Shenandoah Valley for spending the day with us getting a jump start on the holiday magic! They helped start assembling our giant gingerbread house and gave our Christmas trees some much-needed fluffing. We couldn’t do all the behind-the-scenes work that makes our Christmas Wonderland event special without amazing volunteers like you! Thank you for your time, your hard work, and for embracing Christmas in September with us!
We had the BEST time at our Camp LIGHT Social Even We had the BEST time at our Camp LIGHT Social Event this weekend! From games and karaoke to pizza, snacks, and plenty of laughter, it was a wonderful afternoon filled with friendship, connection, and memories that will last long after the music stopped. One of the best parts of Camp LIGHT is creating opportunities for our campers to simply be together, have fun, and build friendships in a place where everyone belongs. A HUGE thank you to the amazing students from Waynesboro High School and Staunton High School who volunteered their time and brought so much energy, kindness, and joy to the event! Your willingness to jump in, play games, sing karaoke, and make new friends helped make the day extra special. We’re so grateful for our Camp LIGHT community and everyone who helps make these moments possible! #CampLIGHT #CreativeWorksFarm #FriendshipForAll #InclusionMatters
Meet Jenna! Jenna is SO excited about the future Meet Jenna! Jenna is SO excited about the future of Camp LIGHT—and especially about the day she’ll get to spend the night at camp! She wanted to share her excitement with all of you, so she and Scott put together this little video for you to enjoy. Her genuine enthusiasm and joy made the ad-libbed moments so much fun! Our cabins aren’t built yet, but campers like Jenna are a wonderful reminder of why we’re dreaming—and building—for the future. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for Camp LIGHT—and we’d love for you to be part of making that future possible. Please consider donating to help build the future of camp!
